"Taormina is wonderful, full of history and beauty. I brought back to America a bag of photos with breathtaking views of Etna, the Gulf, the Greek theater and the municipal villa, everything was well organized with parking, the cable car to go down to the beautiful island, an unforgettable stop, everything was very clean. The bed and breakfast was wonderful, Antonio and his wife welcomed us as if we were friends for a lifetime, comfortable rooms, small but functional bathroom, nothing was missing and every request was fulfilled, cleanliness beyond all expectations and beyond every standard found on our trip, Antonio was our personal advisor and his wife's cakes were unforgettable, thanks Taormina and super thanks Antonio.."

"The only thing that detracted from the experience was the large group tours. These large packs of people easily blocked the charming, narrow thoroughfares of the city. I’m not certain how they contribute to the town’s economy, since they neither seem to shop or dine, but limiting these groups would greatly enhance Taormina’s charm."

"Stunning panoramic views. Beaches were stony but the water was soooo clear and clean. Loads of steps both to the beaches and to the castle on the top of the hill but really worth the effort. Bus services were simply appalling however! The guy at the ticket desk in Taormina bus station was extremely brusque and dismissive and we ended up getting a bus to Messina instead of to Lattajanni and had to get off on the motorway!!!! Other buses either didn’t arrive or were up to 45 minutes late- we ended up walking up the steep steps in frustration after a long day. Restaurants were great, Ancient Greek theatre was amazing. Taormina is a wonderful place well worth a visit- we spent 5 days there! Just don’t rely on the buses!! "
